On January 2^nd, 2022, the first "New Year Cup" football match between teams from new and old campus held by the school of mechanical engineering was successfully held at the Tunxi road campus football field. Before the match, Siyuan Liu, a student from the school football club, spoke on behalf of all the members of football club. The entire game will be broadcast live simultaneously on the "Dong Qiu Di" APP.

During the game, players from both sides showed the positive and united spirit. The players on both sides are evenly matched, their tactics are adaptable, and their offense and defense go back and forth. In the end, the emerald lake campus team wined the game with score 4:1. Thanks to captain Yue Wang who scored a hat trick.
