Jiang Zhibin, a native of She County, Anhui Province, graduated from Hefei University of Technology in 1982.

He is an internationally renowned industrial engineering scholar, a distinguished professor of management science and engineering of the Yangtze River Scholar Award Scheme of the Ministry of Education, and a Fellow of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. He is currently the distinguished professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, the dean of the MOOC Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University, the director of the MOOC Promotion Office, the director of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, the director of the Yangtze River Delta Service Science and Enterprise Innovation Research Center, and the vice president of the China-US Logistics Research Institute. He served as the deputy director of the Industrial Engineering Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, deputy director of the Industrial Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and the deputy editor of the International Journal of Production Research.
