On October 17, 2023, the fifth China-Finland High-Tech Field Matchmaking Conference was successfully held in a combination of online and offline formats. Guangjun Zhang, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Petri Peltonen, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland, and Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Ambassador of Finland to China, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China Department Director Gang Dai presided over the opening ceremony. During the docking and exchange session, enterprises, universities and scientific research institutes from China and Finland conducted in-depth exchanges around the three fields of "carbon reduction and circular economy", "health and aging technology", and "industrial digitalization and industrial upgrading".

At the forum, on behalf of Hefei University of Technology, teacher Zhao Ping from our institute, as the only invited unit in Anhui Province, gave an on-site report on the research project of "Intelligent Elderly Assistance and Rehabilitation System Based on Easy-Wearable Technology". This report is one of three invited reports nationwide in the field of "Health and Aging Technology". It mainly introduces the development of stable, easy-to-control, and low-cost single-degree-of-freedom rehabilitation equipment in the context of the aging populations of China and Finland. Research can better achieve large-scale promotion and widespread application in community or home-based elderly care, thereby promoting the universalization and intelligence of high-end rehabilitation equipment. The report also introduces the exchanges and cooperation between the Hefei University of Technology Robotics Research Institute team and the National Smart Elderly Care International Cooperation Base team with Finnish universities and enterprises in recent years. The team is currently cooperating with the Finnish company Myontec and the University of Eastern Finland to integrate wearable intelligent biosignal monitoring technology with rehabilitation and elderly care equipment and implement it in senior care communities in the Yangtze River Delta.
