From March 20th to April 1st, all the 2019 intelligent manufacturing engineering students of our school carried out a two-week graduation internship practice activity in Xi'an. This internship was actively supported by academician Bingheng Lu, a dual-employed academician of our school and a well-known alumnus.

The students received systematic theoretical and software training at the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Center, and conducted operational exercises on laser fused deposition forming, laser selective melting forming, ceramic printing, arc fuse and other additive processes. At the end of the internship, Leaders of the Institute of Materials Science and Technology issued internship completion certificates to the students and took a group photo; they visited the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Manufacturing Systems of Xi'an Jiaotong University and the Advanced Manufacturing Institute of the Innovation Port High-end Equipment Research Institute to visit high-speed and efficient processing, high-performance precision measurement, and high-precision Assembly, smart smart high-end equipment and other technical research results, as well as micro-nano manufacturing, bio-manufacturing and other interdisciplinary research work; at the Xi'an Intelligent Remanufacturing Research Institute, we visited and learned about the transformation of remanufacturing engineering research and development results and laser cladding and other core equipment, and gained in-depth Understand the core technologies and processes of remanufacturing.

This graduation internship has opened up the students' horizons at the forefront of the subject, enhanced their understanding of the development status and trends of the intelligent manufacturing industry, deepened their mastery of the professional knowledge system, and enhanced their practical ability. It is a "capability-oriented, four-dimensional collaboration" mechanical excellence useful exploration and innovation of talent training models.
