On the morning of March 7, Professor Danwei Wang, an academician of the Singapore Academy of Engineering and Nanyang Technological University, was invited by our school to give an online special report titled "Application of Deep Intelligent Technology in Environmental Sanitation Systems". The Dean Bin Zi of our school presided over the report meeting.
Professor Danwei Wang introduced in detail the team’s research and development work in the field of intelligent sanitation mobile robots in recent years, which mainly includes multi-sensor tactile remote control, field of view fusion, 3D digital twins, sensor attack protection, road cleanliness assessment, etc. The report was rich and interesting, attracting more than 40 teachers and students from our school to actively participate. After the meeting, Professor Wang gave detailed answers to questions raised by teachers and students about the development trends and industrial implementation of smart cars.
Professor Danwei Wang is an academician of the Singapore Academy of Engineering, an IEEE Fellow, a Humboldt Fellow in Germany and the first prize winner of the 2017 Shanghai Science and Technology Award, and an outstanding professor of Singapore's new engineering. He is currently a professor at the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He received his PhD from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1989. He is currently the editor-in-chief of IEEE/RSJ IROS. He has published 6 English monographs, 7 book chapters, 9 patents and more than 500 international magazine and conference papers.
