The Experimental Teaching and Research Center of the School of Mechanical Engineering was established in 1999 through the merger of laboratories from various departments within the school. It operates under a two-level management mode of the university and the school,and mainly undertakes the experimental teaching work and scientific research experiment base of the professional courses of the school of Mechanical Engineering and other schools of theuniversity.

The Experimental Teaching and Research Center is based on three experimental platforms: basic course experiment, professional course experiment and comprehensive experiment.It serves as the main supporting unit for the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for "Mechanical Engineering" and the Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for "Mechanical Fundamentals." The laboratory of the center occupies an area of approximately 8,000 square meters and has fixed assets worth 110 million yuan.
