“The Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering”major was officially launched in August 2012 at Hefei University of Technology. In April 2013, based on the professional backgrounds, experimental platforms, and research foundations of relevant departments, the Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering Department was formally established. The department currently has 15 faculty members, including 8 with doctoral degrees, 9 with senior or associate senior titles, and 3 doctoral supervisors. This forms a reasonably structured team of teaching, experimental, and management personnel.

The Department of Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering is a multidisciplinary specialty integrating aircraft manufacturing technology, computer application technology and mechatronics technology. It is set according to interdisciplinary and wide-aperture training mode, with aviation manufacturing industry as the background, highlighting computer application and information technology.
